Moray MP Douglas Ross said he is disappointed at the news that outreach services provided for people at two locations in Moray are to be withdrawn.
The outreach service was provided in the Moray villages of Garmouth and Urquhart, as well as three other locations near Nairn in Highland Region.
Commenting Douglas said: “This is very disappointing news and I know that there will be concern in the communities that are affected by this decision. In these areas the outreach service is important for people who don't want to, or can't, travel to bigger towns.
“Sadly, the withdrawal of these services is becoming more common and people do face difficulties in accessing their nearest main post office.
“I’m urging the Post Office to look at all options to find alternative provision as these closures come into effect next week from the 1st of August.”
