Local MP Douglas Ross paid tribute to young volunteers who are part of the PSYV group in Moray during Business Questions in the House of Commons last week.
Douglas said: “I’m delighted that I was able to highlight the valuable contribution the Police Scotland Youth Volunteers are making throughout Moray as they are regularly seen assisting at many events in the area. While taking an active role in policing they are also developing their own leadership skills which is an extremely valuable resource.
“I was pleased that the Leader of the House recognised the Police Scotland Youth Volunteers and the police officers who help them. It hadn’t been possible for me to attend their recent Awards Evening so I was keen to highlight their work by mentioning it in the House of Commons
“I was pleased to have the opportunity to recognise the great work of group coordinator Yvonne Squair and all that these youth volunteers do in communities across Moray.”
