Moray MP Douglas Ross says he is “very much looking forward to” carrying out the second half of his annual summer surgery tour across the constituency next week.
Douglas held 30 surgeries last month for local constituents and will visit a further 19 Moray communities from Monday 14th August, until Wednesday 16th August.
The second half of the tour kicks off at 10am on Monday 14th August at Rafford Church Hall and his final surgery will be held at Edinkillie at 3.45pm on Wednesday 16th. No appointment is necessary to come along to one of Douglas’ surgeries.
The Moray MP says a whole host of issues have come up at the surgeries he’s held so far, including the cost-of-living crisis, issues surrounding NHS waiting times and matters such as anti-social behaviour.
Local campaigners also came along in Roseisle to discuss issues with speeding in the village while those in Burghead and Hopeman came to see Douglas to discuss the latest updates in their ‘Save our Surgeries’ campaign.
Douglas says he is looking forward to meeting more constituents next week and he and his team are on hand to help with any issue.
Douglas said: “The summer recess period in both Parliaments offers me a great chance to get out and about in the Moray constituency and undertaking my annual summer surgery tour is one of the highlights of the year.
“I’ve been delighted to meet with many constituents so far – whether that has been individuals seeking my help on an issue – or the number of local people fighting tirelessly on campaigns for their community.
“I’m very much looking forward to carrying out the second half of my surgery tour and hearing about the issues that matter to people.
